Chemraz®, has the broadest chemical resistance of any elastomeric material. It combines the resilience and sealing force of an elastomer with chemical resistance approaching that of PTFE. Chemraz o-rings last longer and seal better in harsh environments at a wide range of temperatures – from –18°C to 320°C. They solve some of the most difficult sealing problems in many industries, while offering outstanding in-use cost effectiveness.
Chemraz o-rings resist attack by nearly all chemical reagents, including inorganic and organic acids, alkalines, ketones, esters, aldehydes, alcohols and fuels. As a result, Chemraz o-rings provide long-term service in virtually all chemical and petrochemical process streams, including many where additives or impurities cause other elastomers to swell or degrade. They resist swelling and embrittlement while retaining their elastomeric qualities. Chemraz o-rings are easily installed, conforming to sealing surfaces better than metal seals despite irregularities due to assembly or wear. And unlike PTFE seals, Chemraz o-rings do not cold flow or cause shaft fretting.
